About.
I’m stubborn. Analytical by nature, curious almost to a fault, and softer than I tend to let on.
Ideas are one of the ways I find my way to people. I’m drawn to those who make me pause, reconsider, argue back, or follow a thought somewhere unexpected. I like a good interlocutor — someone with something to say and a willingness to go beyond the obvious. I’m interested in what moves people: what they believe, what they defend, what contradicts them, and what they reveal without meaning to.
When something catches my attention, I tend to follow it a little further than necessary. A book, a line in a song, a passing remark, an unfamiliar idea. Sometimes a person. I want to understand how things work, but also why they matter. Understanding is one of the ways I pay attention.
I’m naturally reserved, and I don’t always make the first move. But I’m learning to leave the door open a little longer, to share more of what happens between thought and expression, and to reach out rather than simply wait for a conversation to happen.
Perhaps this site is part of that. A collection of things I’m making, thinking about, reading, writing down, and not quite ready to leave alone. Maybe something here will give us a place to start.
I work with technology and build digital products. I also write, read, listen closely, follow questions, and occasionally find myself somewhere I hadn’t planned to go. These things don’t always fit neatly together. I’m not particularly interested in making them fit.
This is where some of them meet.
Not the whole picture. Just a few breadcrumbs.
